Product Liability

_0009_product_liability_attorney_washington_dcProducts liability is defined as the responsibility of a manufacturer to compensate for injuries caused by defective merchandise sold by the manufacturer. Product Liability law provides that manufacturers have an obligation to distribute safe products for their consumers. If a manufacturer cannot make their product as safe as possible, they have the duty to alert the public about the risks that may be associated with using their product.

When a product is found to be defective and it has caused you or a loved one injury while using the product as intended, you or your loved one may have a product liability claim. Three types of product defects are: design defect, informational defect and manufacturing defect.
